Bakuraiya (ガッシャブル Gasshaburu) is one of the four Secret Spectrobes found in Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals. It is an Evolved form Spectrobe of the Aurora Property and can only be obtained using the Card Input system.

Appearance

Bakuraiya looks like a stocky gorilla-like creature covered in insectoid armor. It has four feeler-like ribbons protruding from its head and shoulder armor. Bakuraiya has buzz saws protruding from its arm guards. It has an axe-like blade protruding from its back with very small legs.

Name Etymology

Language Name / Etymology English Bakuraiya Distortion of 爆雷 (bakurai) meaning "depth charge", with the suffix -iya (イヤ), added for effect.

Trivia

• Bakuraiya is one of the slowest Spectrobes in Spectrobes, Beyond the Portals, making it hard to close the distance to faster Krawl. Additionally, its standard attack, a single punch, has a comparatively lengthy recharge time. It also deals middling damage when compared to other "brawler" archetype Spectrobes. These statistics combine to make Bakuraiya one of the most difficult Spectrobes to effectively utilize.
