Gelberus is a member of the High Krawl who appears in Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals. He has an affinity to the Corona element.
Description[]
Gelberus appears as a yellow-skinned humanoid creature closely resembling a djinn. His lower body is in engulfed in red flames, as well as the top of his head. He has a muscular physique, which is further accentuated by his lack of clothing over the torso in comparison to the other High Krawl. Like the other members, however, he wears a black cape. In his Krawl form, the ends of his arms are formed into a large grey mass with a white, round insignia over them. His shoulders form flame mouths.
In-Game Appearance[]
His first appearance is in a cutscene on Nessa overlooking the sand-covered landscape. When Rallen confronts him at Nessa's tower, he talks about the most powerful being in the universe, then proceeds to destroy the tower and vanishes. Later on Hyoga in the Ice Garden, Rallen meets Gelberus for the second time. Gelberus claims that his flames will set free the Krawl frozen in the ice, which he will send through a portal to Nessa to destroy the planet. Gelberus transforms into his Krawl form and battles Rallen, but is defeated. After the battle, Maja appears sitting on his corpse, saying that he was "really... just full of hot air". After Rallen races off to Kollin, Gelberus' corpse is visited by a mysterious dark figure appears and, in monologue, tries to steal his powers.

When you battle him, he will change form and shoots fire at you, and will also summon small, fireball-like Krawl that will attack you. If you get too close, he will slam the ground and fire will appear.
Trivia[]
- Coincidentally, the German word for yellow is "Gelb", which is present in Gelberus' name and alludes to his yellow skin color.
