Makanoto (ガードッグD Gadogu D) is the Dark Spectrobe version of Komanoto and a Dark Spectrobe of the Corona Property. It first appears in Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals and only appears in that game. Makanoto evolves into the Evolved form Makadoros, and is the Adult form of Makanui.
Appearance[]
Makanoto is mainly navy blue, with some lighter blues accenting its features. Like its normal counterpart and its child form, Makanoto is based upon the Komainu dog of Japanese legend. Covering its body are several swirling designs, with a pair of buns on its head like its Child form.
Beyond the Portals[]
The High Krawl Maja uses a Makanoto in the storyline of Beyond the Portals. It is summoned after an abducted Aldous regains consciousness and tussles with Maja aboard the Ancient Starship. Aldous survives the ordeal, although the outcome of the battle is unknown. Later, on the planet Daichi, Maja faces Rallen and uses Makanoto again (alongside fellow Dark Spectrobe Pinska) to demonstrate the superiority of Dark Spectrobes versus their normal counterparts; in this first battle, it cannot be defeated and a forced defeat is necessary to continue gameplay.

- Normal: Lunges toward enemies and rolls to attack them.
- CH Attack: Chawjaw - "Spits a huge and powerful fireball at a distant enemy."

- Attack: Leaps forwards and bites Spectrobes in front of it.
