In Spectrobes, the sword is one of Rallen's weapons. The sword can be used in battle by pressing the "A" button. Equipping one changes both Rallen's attack and the sword's appearance. The damage dealt is affected by the foe's defense stat. Foes hit by the sword are not knocked back, but they are stunned. Using the sword only depletes 2 units from the command gauge, meaning that it can hit again without giving the opponent any time to respond, but the damage dealt is generally less than a Blaster's damage.
Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals[]
In Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals, there are several swords with a variety of effects and combat styles. Rallen can only equip the higher level swords when he himself has reached a certain combat level, achieved by killing Krawl Dust. They are only usable while in combat in the overworld. The sword may allow for multiple strikes at once. At the end of the game, Rallen initiates a sword fight with Krux where the other weapon types cannot be used.
Spectrobes: Origins[]
In Spectrobes: Origins, swords are light, all-around weapons. They provide an average attack boost, but also generally allow for four to five consecutive strikes.

- The Barrier Sword and Power Sword are only obtainable through Card Input.
- It is believed that the Nanairo sword was available through Wi-Fi Download for the first week after the launch of Beyond the Portals. It is no longer available.
- The Nanairo Sword can still be obtained through the use of Action Replay. Entering and activating the "All Weapons and Armor" code found here will give the player the Nanairo Sword, along with all other pieces of equipment. If using this code, it is recommended to wait until all other pieces of equipment have been purchased first so as to maintain game balance.
